Policy Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Development Specialist to join Compu-Vision Consulting. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating effective IT policies, procedures, and guidelines that ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and organizational standards.

About the Role
  • This is a 12-month contract position that requires the development, drafting, and maintenance of IT-related policies to drive efficiency, standardize IT concepts, and ensure compliance with federal policies.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge in creating and deriving policies in a start-up environment, excellent interviewing and listening skills, and exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and draft IT-related policies to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, current organizational standards, and IT objectives.
  • Create strategy through policy and other channels to educate the workforce on proposed and ongoing efforts to drive efficiency, standardize IT concepts, and ensure compliance with federal policies.
  • Analyze business processes to determine documentation requirements.
  • Gather information through research, SME interviews, source documents, and review of existing documentation.
  • Write various types of documentation, such as policies and operational procedures.
  • Manage regular reviews with SMEs to maintain accuracy and completeness of documents.
  • Create documents that comply with federal government customer's standards on language, writing style, structure, and format.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge with creating and deriving policies in a start-up environment.
  • Excellent interviewing and listening skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze business processes and develop effective documentation.
Estimated Salary:

$85,000 per annum (based on industry standards).
