About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Energy Economist / Policy Consultant to join our team at ICF Olson. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a talented group of professionals who are passionate about solving complex energy and climate challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support technical studies that evaluate energy impacts and benefits
  • Prepare, review, update, and present technical reports
  • Provide project support, including technical assistance, analyzing scientific data, and quality-controlling work products and client deliverables
  • Perform quantitative problem-solving, data collection and analysis, and manage large datasets
  • Write reports for technical and general audiences
  • Review literature, conduct research, and synthesize findings into concise and well-written summaries
  • Interact with clients and prepare presentations, reports, memoranda, and other communication materials
  • Translate technical topics into terms that are meaningful to more general audiences
  • Work with small teams to prepare high-quality products and pitch in wherever necessary
Requirements
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in the electricity and natural gas industries
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in economics, public policy, or a related field
  • Preferred skills include project management, business development, and/or client development, as well as knowledge of federal, state, and local policies/regulations affecting the energy sector

Pay Range

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is: $96,367.00 - $163,825.00.
