Job Summary

We are seeking highly qualified candidates for temporary, part-time lecturer positions in the Undergraduate Program in Public Affairs at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Responsibilities

Lecturers will be responsible for teaching one or more of the following courses:

  • PUB AFF 110: The Urban Revolution: Space and Society in Global Context
  • Other courses related to Public Affairs


Responsibilities include revising course syllabi, developing lectures and course materials, lecturing, holding office hours, and managing teaching assistants.

Requirements

We seek candidates with subject matter expertise relevant to the particular course and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching. A Ph.D. in Public Policy, Social Welfare, Urban Planning, Political Science, Economics, Sociology, Psychology, Communications, or a related field is preferred. Doctoral students who have advanced to candidacy, have teaching experience, and excellent teaching evaluations may also be considered.
