Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bakery Team Member to join our team at Albertsons. As a key member of our bakery department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and decorating cakes, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude when interacting with customers, providing fast and friendly service, and making product suggestions to meet their needs.
  • Cake Preparation and Decoration: Prepare and decorate cakes according to customer requests, using a variety of techniques and tools to create visually appealing designs.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, rotating stock to ensure freshness and quality, and reporting any discrepancies to management.
  • Store Maintenance: Ensure the bakery area and equipment are clean and well-maintained, adhering to company standards and guidelines.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives, providing support and assistance as needed.
Requirements
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to frequently reach, lift, and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights, up to approximately 60 lbs.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Familiarity with company practices and policies, as well as basic mathematics and weights and measures.
  • Equipment Operation: Ability to operate a variety of equipment, including telephones, pallet jacks, hand trucks, knives, scissors, safety cutters, bread slicer, photo cake machine, mixer, microwave oven, ovens, and proof boxes.
