Position Overview

Isola Group, a prominent player in the global materials science sector dedicated to enhancing life through innovation in electronic products, is seeking an Industrial Electrical Technician.


Key Responsibilities:

The Industrial Electrical Technician will be tasked with executing intricate diagnostics and repairs on manufacturing and facility machinery to reduce downtime and meet production objectives. This role encompasses both mechanical and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) diagnostics. Additionally, the technician will perform preventative maintenance on machinery and facility systems, ensuring thorough documentation of all tasks completed while assessing the effectiveness of repairs and enhancements as part of ongoing improvement initiatives.

Primary Duties:

  • Implement 5S methodologies to uphold cleanliness throughout the facility and in designated workspaces, including tools and equipment.
  • Engage in training and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma).
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on equipment and systems within the facility, which may involve welding, fabrication, and interpreting technical drawings and schematics as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, specifically in the repair and troubleshooting of high-volume automated production systems.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing setting.
  • Specialized training or technical education in troubleshooting and programming various PLCs, including but not limited to Mitsubishi, Omron, Direct PLC, Modicon, Allen Bradley SLC5, Control Logix, PICO, and PLC5.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Industrial Electrical or equivalent from a technical institution.
  • Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical components such as photoelectric sensors, proximity sensors, limit switches, and motor starters.
  • Familiarity with the latest NEC codes regarding conductor routing, sizing, and fill quantities.
