Job Title: Senior Business Control Specialist

As a Senior Business Control Specialist, you will play a critical role in leading and executing internal control discipline and operational excellence within a Line of Business (LOB) or Enterprise Control Function (ECF).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute LOB or ECF processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide standards.
  • Support the implementation of quality assurance and quality control processes within the LOB or ECF through ongoing monitoring and testing of controls.
  • Identify issues and control improvements for remediation and build out action plans and milestones.
Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to Data Architecture Modelling guidelines and Privacy and Data Protection measures.
  • Ensure an always-ready approach for Regulator enquiries.
  • Develop lineage from regulations, through to policies and standards to Processes and Controls (SPI); identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Support audits for Data Architecture and Privacy and Protection teams.
  • Oversee the Single Process Inventory (SPI).
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Business Control specific functions or Operational Risk management and Risk framework.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical abilities - know how to use data to communicate the narrative.
  • Intellectually curious to seek new and better ways of maintaining sustainability of materials.
  • Motivated by designing new processes and seeking continuous improvement.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience working across multiple lines of business to orchestrate cohesive responses for audit and regulator requests/exams/meetings.
  • Quickly "connect the dots" to identify and perform analysis and build regulator responses.
