Job Summary:

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will lead the IT department at NFTA, overseeing the operational aspects of information technology. This role involves strategic planning, implementation, and coordination of technology systems to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the IT strategic plan to achieve business goals.
  • Establish IT departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures.
  • Lead IT planning, implementation, and evaluation of current and future IT systems.
  • Facilitate communication between staff, management, vendors, and technology resources.
  • Manage multiple information and communications systems and projects.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate systems that support end users.
  • Develop and implement user-training programs.
  • Oversee and evaluate backup procedures.
  • Support the Authority's digital strategy.
  • Identify opportunities for cost-effective investment in IT operational systems and resources.
  • Track and control the IT annual budget for operations.
  • Review hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts.
  • Promote and oversee relationships between IT resources and internal customers and related vendors.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management and support.
  • Direct management of a major IT operation is preferred.
  • Experience in a transportation or government setting is desirable.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience.
