About the Role

We are seeking a skilled ICU Liaison to join our team at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital in Weymouth, Massachusetts. As a key member of our ICU team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring seamless communication between our doctors, clients, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing clear and concise information about their pet's stay, from presentation to discharge.
  • Facilitate effective communication between our doctors, technicians, and front desk staff to ensure timely and accurate information exchange.
  • Field incoming phone calls, respond to client inquiries, and provide support as needed.
  • Prepare patients for discharge, ensuring all necessary information and care instructions are communicated to clients.
  • Manage medical records, reports, and correspondence with clients, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement strategies for improving patient care and client satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a veterinary facility or medical setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and doctors.
  • Medical terminology knowledge and familiarity with various procedures and medications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attendance, punctuality, and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a dynamic, pet-friendly environment.
