Job Description

**Job Summary:**

The System Administrator / NOC Administrator is a critical role within AmSurg LLC, responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and capacity of our IT infrastructure. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to configure, maintain, and support our systems, applications, and networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Administration: Oversee and manage regular system backups to ensure data integrity and availability. Develop and implement backup policies and procedures.
  • Network Management: Monitor network performance and promptly identify and troubleshoot network outages. Collaborate with the NOC team to develop and implement incident response strategies.
  • Server Management: Perform regular health checks on servers to ensure optimal performance. Manage server updates, patches, and configurations to maintain security and functionality.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and assistance to customers as needed. Address customer concerns and inquiries related to system backups, network performance, and server health.
  • Documentation and Communication: Document all network incidents, root cause analyses, and preventive measures. Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams during network outages to provide status updates and estimated resolution times.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to system administration. Propose and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of NOC operations.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree from a four-year College or University and 4 or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical Skills: Broad knowledge of Windows Desktop/Server operating systems. Experience in a Help Desk/Desktop/Server Support environment. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and setup, repair, and modification of Windows PC desktops and laptops.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Comptia A+, Network+, Server+ certifications a plus.

This position is offered on a Remote-Centric Hybrid basis with the expectation that you will be required to attend onsite bi-weekly meetings.
