Location Insight:
The Flamingo Resort & Spa is a stunning mid-century property nestled in a serene environment, designed by renowned architect Homer A. Rissman. This 10-acre retreat offers guests both city convenience and a tranquil escape.

Position Overview:
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for welcoming and registering guests, ensuring a high standard of service, and managing guest accounts efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm and genuine welcome to guests upon arrival, utilizing a positive demeanor and clear communication.
  • Facilitate the registration process by accurately entering and retrieving guest information from the computer system, confirming details such as guest count and room rates.
  • Handle financial transactions, including credit card verification, cash handling, and posting charges to guest accounts.
  • Respond promptly to phone inquiries, taking messages and relaying information to guests as needed.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction during check-out, addressing any concerns and negotiating solutions when necessary.
  • Maintain composure during busy periods and emergencies, effectively resolving issues related to guest accommodations.
  • Address guest complaints with thorough research and effective solutions, ensuring a positive experience.

Additional Information:
Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, flexible scheduling may be required to meet operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Basic math skills and proficiency with calculators for accurate financial transactions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse guests and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the front office while performing essential duties.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Competence in using a moderately complex computer system for data entry and retrieval.
  • Ability to recognize and respond to emergency situations.
  • Prior experience in hospitality is preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation:
The salary for this role ranges from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
