Job Purpose

Under the guidance of our Customer Accounting Specialists and Manager, Billing & Collections, you will assist in handling and resolving matters of billing and collections for our delinquent accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in collections efforts, contacting accounts via phone and mail, and sending accounts to collections agencies as needed.
  • Sort daily output for Customer Accounting Specialists.
  • Prepare forms for the mail room after review by Customer Accounting Specialists.
  • Monitor the premium accounting inbox and respond to requests as needed or file for Customer Accounting Specialist response.
  • Answer the direct bill phone line.
  • Assist with commission payments.
  • Support Customer Accounting Specialists with Accounts Payable batches, copying, scanning, mail runs, treasury runs, and other miscellaneous tasks.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a high school diploma.
  • 0+ years of related experience.
  • Ability to research simple to moderately complex billing and collection issues and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external contacts involved in the billing and collection processes.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office software as well as general ledger and billing and collections applications to identify, analyze, and resolve billing and collection issues.
