Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Home Infusion Nurse to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a Home Infusion Nurse, you will provide clinical care and education to patients receiving parenteral medications in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients and their families, providing education and support for self-care and self-administration of infusion therapy.
  • Assess patient appropriateness for home infusion therapy, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Obtain and document patient medical history, including diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Complete all required clinical documentation, including nursing plans of care and visit notes.
  • Participate in case conferences to develop comprehensive care plans with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Administer medications as prescribed, performing therapy-specific clinical assessments and monitoring patient response.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements:
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) of practice.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or CPR certification.
  • 1+ years of experience working as an RN in a clinical care setting, with proficiency in infusion therapy.
  • Proven ability to work independently in home or alternate-site settings.
  • Access to reliable transportation for travel to customer and/or patient sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience administering infusion therapy in a home or alternate-site setting.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMR) programs.
  • Knowledge of the Infusion Nursing Society (INS) standards of practice, policies, and procedures.
