Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an Intern / Co-Op in the field of Civil / Environmental Engineering.

This role provides a unique chance to apply your academic knowledge in engineering disciplines such as civil, geotechnical, environmental, and water resources to practical scenarios while also acquiring essential business skills for a successful career in consulting.

The internship is structured as a full-time commitment (40 hours per week) for approximately 13 to 15 weeks, ideally during the summer or fall semester. Candidates who excel may have the opportunity to return for up to two additional semester rotations during their academic journey.

Interns are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the office.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in engineering calculations utilizing computer-based technical tools;

- Engage in technical writing for reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals;

- Conduct data input and analysis, including the preparation of maps, tables, and figures;

- Collaborate with engineers, geologists, administrative staff, CADD operators, contractors, and construction personnel;

- Participate in potential fieldwork activities such as soil and groundwater sampling, stormwater inspections, and oversight of drilling and contractors.

- Local travel to project sites may be required.

Education and Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in a relevant engineering discipline (required);

- Preferred focus areas include civil, geotechnical, environmental, or water resources engineering.

Skills and Experience:
- Strong academic performance and exceptional interpersonal, technical writing, and communication skills (required);

- Demonstrated work ethic with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team (required).


Position may necessitate health and safety training for fieldwork in accordance with corporate Health and Safety protocols.

Familiarity with ArcView, CADD, and/or Microsoft Office is preferred.

- A valid U.S. driver's license, reliable transportation, and a satisfactory driving record are required for business travel to project sites.
