About the Job:
As a Horizontal Construction Engineer in the Army National Guard, you'll play a crucial role in preparing construction sites for various projects. Your primary responsibility will be to operate heavy equipment, such as bulldozers and roadgraders, to clear and level the terrain. You'll also be responsible for analyzing information on grade stakes, cutting and spreading fill material, and transporting heavy construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze grade stakes and place them accurately
• Operate heavy equipment, such as bulldozers and roadgraders, to clear and level the terrain
• Cut and spread fill material with a scraper
• Transport heavy construction equipment with a tractor-trailer
• Assist in the performance of combat engineer missions

What You'll Learn:
• Maintenance and repair of heavy equipment
• Identification of soil types and placement of grade stakes

Requirements:
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
• Must meet citizenship requirements
