Job SummaryThe HR Business Partner will play a critical role in supporting the HR team at BRIDGE Housing Corporation and BRIDGE Property Management Company. This position will be responsible for providing sound coaching to managers on employee issues, overseeing HR policies and programs, and managing employee relations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage employee relations complaints and issues, ensuring compliance with CA employment laws and processes.
- Assist with general HR questions, 30/60/90 day check-ins, and manage efficient and accurate exit discussions for transitioning employees.
- Oversee benefits administration processes, including enrollment and renewals, and escalate issues to brokers and provider reps.
- Document and maintain procedures for assigned benefit processes.
- Assist employees with benefit questions, retirement, and employment-related procedures.
- Serve as a primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.
- Manage the HR Inbox as the primary manager for all incoming general HR needs.
- Oversee annual and ongoing HR compliance activities, including distribution of required notices from federal, state, and local government.
- Own reporting requirements, such as EEO-1 and Healthy SF.
- Manage Injury and Illness Prevention Program compliance.
- Implement proactive processes and procedures to minimize employer risk.
- Advise managers and employees on accurate processes and collaborate with vendors.
- Oversee all leaves of absence and provide updated report outs as needed in meetings.
- Provide awareness regarding training and development options for employees.
- Own management of the LMS site and process.
- Work closely with vendors on annual budgets, usage, communication, and attendance.
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible HR Generalist experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Communications, or other relevant area.
- Experience with ADP a plus.
- Demonstrated proactivity and ownership of duties.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Working proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Well-developed organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize work effectively and adjust to multiple demands.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to maintain a positive approach to work challenges and look to process improve at all times.
- Ability to travel to sites as needed.
- Works in an office environment.
- Usually works a standard workweek; during audit season, weekends and overtime may be required.
- Ability to remain in a stationary (standing and/or seated) position more than half the time.
- Ability to operate machinery and/or equipment that requires the constant use of hands/fingers/wrists more than half the time.
- Ability to spend more than half the time viewing computer monitors.
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
