Job Opportunity

We are seeking two full-time Teaching Assistant Professors in Physiology to join our department. The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching Anatomy and/or Physiology Lectures and Lab courses for Biology majors. Additional courses may include Genetics, Biochemistry, or Foundations of Biology. One of the positions will involve 50% remote teaching of Anatomy and/or Physiology lecture courses.

Responsibilities
  • Teach 2 to 3 courses or up to 4 sections of a single laboratory course per term
  • Develop effective teaching strategies for diverse student populations
  • Use evidence-based teaching practices
  • Participate in departmental and university-wide initiatives to promote teaching innovation and pedagogical research
Requirements
  • PhD in biology or applicable field
  • Previous teaching experience
  • Documented success in teaching large undergraduate classes, teaching undergraduate lab courses, and developing effective teaching strategies for diverse student populations
  • Formal training in pedagogy
  • Training or experience in remote teaching (for the position involving remote teaching)
