The MQ-9 UAS Pilot II will serve as the pilot in command (PIC) of MQ-9 unmanned aircraft, ensuring the safe operation of the aircraft in both domestic and international environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in all aspects of flight operations, including planning, briefings, execution, debriefings, and crew resource management.
  • Comply with military, civilian, and ICAO flight regulations, including adherence to FAA standards.
  • Offer specialized knowledge in unmanned aircraft operations.
  • Create briefing and training materials to enhance flight operations.
  • Conduct a comprehensive range of evaluations on analog, digital, microwave, optical, and mechanical systems and equipment under various environmental conditions.
  • Provide technical expertise and experience in UAS operations to ensure their safe and efficient integration into the National Airspace System (NAS), collaborating with U.S. Government entities and Original Equipment Manufacturers.
  • Support the integration of UAS into the NAS while maintaining existing capacity, safety, and minimizing risks to airspace users and ground personnel.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active Top-Secret U.S. Government clearance required; U.S. Citizenship is necessary for obtaining a Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in fields such as engineering, business, logistics, management, mathematics, sciences, or professional aeronautics, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in U.S. military operations.
  • At least one year of MQ-9 pilot experience within the last decade, specifically with U.S. Naval or USAF UAS flight operations.
  • Current qualification as an MQ-9 Pilot or previously qualified MQ-9 Pilot (Form 8 within the last 3 years).
  • A minimum of 50 hours logged as MQ-9 Pilot-In-Command (PIC).
  • Possession of a current FAA Class I or Class II Medical Certificate or equivalent DOD certification.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with various levels of management, clients, and colleagues.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and travel as necessary.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team to meet mission objectives.
  • Capability to obtain and maintain a DOD clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Qualified MQ-9 Line of Sight Launch and Recovery (LOS L/R) Pilot or previously qualified MQ-9 LOS L/R Pilot (Form 8 within the last 3 years).
  • Operational experience in a deployed setting as an MQ-9 Pilot within the last 5 years.
