About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Data Analytics and Information Systems (DAIS) team at the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and delivering complex data systems that enable us to plan, monitor, and respond to bushfires and other emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable and efficient software solutions using Angular 9+, TypeScript, and.Net Core.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system functionality across the full application technology stack.
- Develop and maintain high-quality code, following best practices and industry standards.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
- Contribute to the development of our cloud infrastructure, including Azure Functions, App Services, and Azure Service Bus.
Requirements
- Strong experience in software development, with a focus on data analytics and emergency management.
- Proficiency in Angular 9+, TypeScript, and.Net Core.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, including Azure Functions, App Services, and Azure Service Bus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with serverless, microservices, and event-driven architectures.

- Familiarity with Python and data science packages, including TensorFlow and NumPy.
