Private Equity Associate Job Opportunity

H&P Executive Search is partnering with a leading lower middle-market Private Equity Fund to identify a highly skilled Associate to join their team in the San Francisco Bay Area.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an investment banking professional looking to transition to the buy side, where they can earn carry from day one and have a strong potential for career advancement to partner level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investment opportunities to ensure alignment with the fund's strategy.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models and valuation analyses to inform investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to structure and negotiate investment transactions, ensuring optimal outcomes for the fund.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of portfolio companies, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies for growth.
  • Support senior team members in deal sourcing and relationship management, building strong connections with management teams and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research and industry analysis to stay up-to-date on market trends and identify new opportunities.
  • Participate in meetings with management teams of potential and current portfolio companies to discuss performance, strategy, and growth initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and execution of exit strategies for portfolio investments, ensuring optimal returns for the fund.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a top-ranked university with a strong academic record.
  • 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, preferably within the M&A team.
  • Preferably, sector experience in consumer, business services, healthcare, or industrials.
