Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Store Manager for our fresh food department at Whole Foods Café.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a creative store layout and product merchandising plan to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, ensuring profitability and efficient operations.
  • Analyze sales reports and labor data to inform decision-making and optimize performance.
  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge and stay up-to-date on new products and promotions.
  • Nurture strong vendor relationships, source new suppliers, and ensure timely processing of vendor paperwork.
  • Support team members with concerns or issues, fostering a positive work environment and exceptional teamwork.
  • In absence of the Team Leader, serve as the point person and department head, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Set and meet high standards of retail execution, driving excellence in customer service and store appearance.
  • Promote a positive atmosphere of mutual respect, outstanding teamwork, and exceptional morale among team members.
  • Monitor customer flow and needs, directing team members to deliver exceptional customer experiences and respond promptly to customer inquiries.
  • Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel team members to build a high-performing team and minimize turnover.
  • Conduct thorough and thoughtful performance evaluations in a timely manner.

  • Proficiency in using email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications.
Qualifications:
  • 18+ months of retail team member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this position is $20.05-$27.53 hourly, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan benefits, eligibility for a store discount, paid time off, and access to other benefit programs.
