Job Title: Sales Engineer

At Mitel, we are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team in the Central Region. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in helping businesses connect, collaborate, and provide better experiences for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical designs, including analysis and configuration, to meet complex business partner and customer requirements.
  • Deliver in-person and web-based demonstrations for prospective customers and region partners.
  • Answer product feature, licensing, and functionality questions.
  • Develop and maintain Subject Matter Expert-level knowledge in 1-2 solutions focus areas.
  • Provide direct support for Named Account Managers within the Region.
  • Support RFP responses.
  • Maintain current knowledge on primary competitive solutions, products, and services.
  • Ability to travel to locations, including overnight travel.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; or high school diploma + relevant experience.
  • Experience in Pre-Sales Engineering or Solutions Architecture.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with Mitel Solutions preferred; other Cloud and UC solutions and technologies a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of VoIP solutions, standards, and protocols required.
  • Strong knowledge of contact centers, CCaaS solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of AI technologies (e.g., NLP, Generative AI, chatbots) and solutions (e.g., Talkative).
  • Background with Virtualization Technologies and Data Center Architectures, AWS, and Azure a plus.
  • Familiarity with Mobility and Video applications (Android, Apple, Polycom, Cisco, Microsoft) a plus.
  • Networking skills, including protocol and compliance knowledge required.
  • Certifications (AWS, CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, CCIE) a plus.
  • Network Security knowledge a plus (CCSP, CISSP).
  • Customer service-oriented, with a positive attitude, attention to details, and sense of urgency in all work efforts.
  • Exceptional team-related skills.
  • Primary region will be Mid-Central market. Candidate must also be willing to travel in the whole region. Upwards of 50%+ travel time may be required to support the business needs.
