Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Operations Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of the Finance Operations Business Partnership team, you will be responsible for supporting Corporate Accounts Payable covering opex/capex for most Amazon businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive upstream systems and process initiatives to improve the quality and accuracy of data used by Finance Operations to pay suppliers and collect from customers.
  • Interact deeply with multiple core business teams to obtain and summarize critical data sets to trace defect areas to primary root cause drivers.
  • Scope future state solutions and influence roadmap decisions at the VP level.
  • Measure the effectiveness of solutions implemented over time.
Requirements
  • 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
  • 8+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience.
  • 8+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience.
  • 8+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience.
  • 8+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience.
  • 8+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.
  • 8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.
  • 8+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience.
  • 5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience.
  • MBA, or CPA.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $137,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $227,700/year in our highest geographic market.
