Cancer Care Billing Specialist

Regional Cancer Care Associates is seeking a skilled Billing Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely claim submissions, including verifying patient demographic information and charge accuracy. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills and be able to effectively interact with patients, third-party payors, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect and review patient insurance information for billing purposes.
- Complete and submit insurance forms, including HCFA 1500 and Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
- Transmit electronic claims to third-party payors and research and resolve any delays.
- Process paper claims and supporting documentation as required by payors.
- Resolve patient complaints and requests regarding insurance billing.
- Initiate accurate account adjustments and follow up on billing issues.
- Communicate effectively with payors and claims clearinghouses to ensure accurate and timely claims processing.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of experience in a medical business office setting.
