Procurement Specialist Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at LHH. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities, ensuring that goods and services are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet business needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet production and operational needs.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
  • Review and analyze bids, proposals, and vendor contracts to ensure best value.
  • Resolve issues related to order discrepancies, supplier performance, and delivery delays.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and provide support.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a focus on cost reduction and value optimization.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess supplier performance and market trends.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with procurement regulations and best practices.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPM, CPSM).
  • Knowledge of contract management and legal aspects of procurement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
