The Facilities Operations Supervisor will be primarily accountable for guaranteeing the effective and seamless functioning of all elements related to facilities and plant management in collaboration with the Facilities Director. The position reports directly to the Director of Facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing maintenance and repair tasks for facilities and equipment to maintain operational effectiveness.
  • Strategically planning and distributing office space in alignment with organizational requirements.
  • Coordinating office relocations, renovations, and redesign projects as necessary.
  • Keeping precise records of space usage and occupancy levels.
  • Evaluating vendor performance and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Enforcing health and safety regulations and protocols.
  • Conducting routine inspections to detect potential risks and ensure compliance with relevant laws.
  • Educating staff on health and safety measures and emergency protocols.
  • Monitoring budgetary expenditures and identifying potential cost-saving measures.
  • Formulating and executing emergency response strategies and procedures.
  • Organizing drills and training sessions to ensure staff preparedness for emergencies.
  • Adopting best practices and standards in facility management.
  • Carrying out performance assessments and promoting professional development opportunities.
  • Fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
  • The absence of specific duties does not prevent the supervisor from assigning tasks that logically relate to the position.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated experience in facilities management or a comparable role.
  • Strong organizational capabilities and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage time efficiently.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and facilities management software.
  • Moderate physical activity is required, including handling average-weight objects up to fifty (50) pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours daily.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in facilities management, business administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Willingness to work outside of standard business hours.
