Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide friendly and courteous service to customers, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Bagging and Cart Management: Place customers' purchases into bags, place filled bags in carts, and carry customers' purchases to their vehicles.
  • Store Maintenance: Retrieve carts from the parking lot, pick up paper and debris in the store, parking lot, and carts, and stock bags on check stands.
  • Housekeeping: Empty trash from check stands and service centers, sweep and mop floors, and return merchandise left at checkout to shelves.
  • Product Knowledge: Read and understand shelf tags, verify prices of merchandise, and assist customers with product information.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to push 3 to 5 carts at a time, work outside in seasonal weather, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability: Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends.
  • Teamwork: Must be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicating with colleagues and management to achieve store goals.
Additional Requirements for Internal Candidates
  • Must have a minimum of six months employment with Schnucks.
  • Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
  • Must have manager approval based on performance.
