We are seeking an Aerospace Engineer to join our team at Expleo Group in Wichita, KS.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

About the Role

This exciting opportunity is focused on MRB (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) design engineering for aircraft repair. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out design analysis and creating design dispositions for assembly manufacturing non-conformances.

You will assess different repair scenarios for fit, form, and function, process detail and sub-assembly concessions from risk-sharing partners and Final Assembly Lines, and identify the most efficient methods for analysis while ensuring adherence to relevant airworthiness and customer procedural requirements.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of material properties, production, and manufacturing methods and practices and their effect on aircraft performance. Experience working on Boeing products and structures, either directly or within the Supply Chain, is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out design analysis and create design dispositions for assembly manufacturing non-conformances
  • Assess different repair scenarios for fit, form, and function
  • Process detail and sub-assembly concessions from risk-sharing partners and Final Assembly Lines
  • Identify the most efficient methods for analysis while ensuring adherence to relevant airworthiness and customer procedural requirements
  • Liaise with multiple functions/suppliers to ensure the most appropriate design solution is met with consideration to cost, time, performance, and installation requirements
Requirements
  • A minimum of a BS in Aerospace Engineering (Mechanical, Design, Structural, etc.)
  • Experience working on Boeing products and structures, either directly or within the Supply Chain, for a minimum of three years
  • Knowledge across 737/787 or similar aircraft variant programs, preferably with both metallic and composite capabilities
  • Understanding of material properties, production, and manufacturing methods and practices and their effect on aircraft performance
  • Working knowledge of CATIA V5 for interrogation and drawing/model modification
