About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled engineer with a strong background in mass properties development and analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing complex aerodynamic components, structures, and systems throughout the product lifecycle. This includes preliminary weight estimation, mass properties database generation, regular weight status updates, and final aircraft weighing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate mass properties databases for aircraft programs.
- Perform preliminary weight estimation and mass properties analysis for new designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and test aerodynamic components and structures.
- Analyze and troubleshoot mass properties-related issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or other related discipline.
- At least 17 years of relevant experience in mass properties development and analysis.
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Advanced experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
- Thorough understanding of SAWE RP7 and prior experience authoring SAWE RP8 reports.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with wind tunnel and aircraft flight test.
- Exposure to aircraft stability principles and control system design and analysis.
- Knowledge of industry standard aerospace principles, including parametric design, model-based definition, and fundamentals of flight mechanics.

Security Clearance
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
Earnings Potential: Based on experience, education, and qualifications, this position has an estimated annual salary range of $145,000 - $185,000, plus benefits.
