Job Summary:
The Airport Operations Manager is responsible for directing the process and activities of frontline employees, including customer service representatives, operations coordinators, and other non-exempt staff. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to ensure maximum performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct daily operations, fleet availability, and revenue generation for assigned functions
- Lead and support processes to meet and exceed customer expectations, ensuring alignment with sales methods and processes
- Resolve customer issues, ensuring a positive customer experience
- Drive sales processes to create a dynamic, customer-focused commercial organization focused on selling value-added solutions
- Champion productivity improvements through employee involvement and accountability, ensuring employees follow established standards
- Engage in effective communication plans to build employee engagement and achieve business results
- Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations, as applicable
- Manage airport and assigned locations/geographic areas in the absence of the General Manager
- Participate in the recruiting process, as required
- Provide management with various updates and indicators as requested
- Remain current on all administrative duties according to company policy
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 1-3 Years prior experience in customer service or operations, according to specific job duties
- Experience in car rental, hospitality, or tourism a plus
- Results orientation
- Ability to direct and motivate teams
- Ability to work effectively with Senior leaders
- Knowledge of customer service resolution practices, excellent communication techniques, people management and leadership capability, sales management/coaching ability, and operations management
- Skills in highly organized problem-solving, time management, customer service aptitude, and excellent oral and written communication skills
- Competencies in personal accountability, effective communication, demonstrates initiative, passion for customer service & stakeholder success, trust & integrity, and adaptable and flexible
