We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team in Buffalo, New York.

Allient Inc. is a global publicly traded company with over 2200 employees at 26 locations in 11 countries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles to control the organization's financial resources and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare account reconciliations and journal entries to ensure accurate and complete general ledger on a timely basis.
  • Analyze financial results and accounting records to provide management with feedback for business decision making.
  • Receive, validate, and process invoices timely, accurately, and in accordance with the organization's accounts payable policy and procedures.
  • Review and analyze customer accounts for payment progress and determine appropriate course of action based on customer history, balance outstanding and age of receivables.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate monitoring of cash and prepare weekly cash forecasts used by management for assessing working capital requirements.
  • Prepare and execute various financial reports and accounting internal control activities so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making financial decisions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent number of years of experience.
  • 6 - 8 years of experience in accounting is required.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data.
  • Highly skilled in use of Excel Spreadsheets, MS Office and accounting ERP software (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, basic account principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis, and multi-tasking skills.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 per year.
