Financial Reporting Specialist

Sodexo is a leading provider of integrated facilities management, foodservice operations, and workplace services. We are seeking a skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Accounting and other team members to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reports. Incentives: This role is a hybrid position, requiring 3 days in-office and 2 remote workdays, located in either Austin, TX or Buffalo, NY. What You'll Do:
• Prepare financial statements, journal entries, and general ledger account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Coordinate various financial close cycle activities, including data analysis and reporting for senior leadership.
• Analyze operating and financial statement information, preparing reports that provide actionable insights for business improvement.
• Perform variance analysis to identify root causes, make recommendations for performance improvement, and optimize operating efficiencies.
• Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and associated metrics over a specified time period, comparing against acceptable norms, past performance, or targets.
• Recommend actions to improve performance or operating efficiencies, implementing process improvements as needed.
• Lead special accounting projects, analyzing and testing new systems to enhance financial processes.
• Communicate analysis and insights to leadership, executing and implementing agreed decisions where applicable.
