Job Title: Site Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to join our team at North American Renewables, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing daily on-site activities for our commercial solar projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing project schedules and reviewing plans and specifications to identify potential construction issues and cost savings measures.
  • Review and accept general construction and labor budgets, and assemble job site office and equipment requirements.
  • Lead the trades and communicate effectively with the design team and clients, while maintaining a safe job site and enforcing Occupational Health and Safety Act and NAR Safety policies.
  • Coordinate and direct independent testing and inspections, and maintain installation practices in compliance with client and NAR quality standards.
  • Control and monitor labor, material, and equipment expenses, and assist in preparing monthly cost forecasting summaries.
  • Ensure that "as-built" drawings are prepared on an ongoing basis by all trades during the construction period, and coordinate all required municipal inspections.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Site Superintendent on commercial solar projects.
  • High school graduate or equivalent; college or university degree in a construction-related field preferred.
  • Technical working knowledge of major trades: civil, electrical, structural, and mechanical.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • Ability to sequence project schedules and scopes, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency with computers.
