Security Specialist III

About the Role
We're seeking a Security Specialist III to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you'll be responsible for facilitating administrative security processes, managing classified material and document control activities, controlling Communication Security materials, administering local physical security systems, and conducting inventories of classified holdings. You'll also assist in the development and implementation of security practices to maintain compliance with security regulations, develop and implement security awareness education and training, assist with the Security Clearance process for employees, and participate in security self-assessment initiatives.

Requirements:
- An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Strong verbal and electronic communication skills
- Thorough understanding of security regulations and best practices
- Knowledge of DD254 and Program Classification Guides
- Knowledge of 32 CFR 117: National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM)
- Knowledge of DoDM, Vol. 1-4
- Previous experience with access control/visit control/badge management systems and software
- Knowledge of ICD 705
- Military or Defense Contractor experience
- Industrial Security Professional (ISP) Certification
This position requires current/active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
