Position Overview:
We are in search of a qualified individual to take on the role of Financial Accounting Supervisor, reporting directly to the Senior Financial Controller. The chosen candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial and project accounting tasks. Under the direction of the Senior Financial Controller, the Financial Accounting Supervisor will manage financial transactions and deliver analytical insights, necessitating a strong grasp of accounting principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities (additional tasks may apply):

  • Oversee team members in maintaining internal controls related to financial reporting, labor accounting, and more.
  • Manage general ledger operations, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Supervise company bank accounts, weekly cash flow, and payment processes.
  • Coordinate accounts payable check runs as directed by the CFO or Senior Financial Controller.
  • Review and prepare payroll and state tax obligations, among other responsibilities.
  • Verify job costs and reconcile subsidiary ledgers.
  • Assist in internal financial reporting for year-end activities.
  • Analyze financial data to identify risks and growth opportunities.
  • Establish and monitor internal controls to reduce financial risks.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
  • Lead a proficient accounting and administrative team.
  • Perform other standard accounting duties as required.

Qualifications:

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with prior experience in a managerial accounting role.
  • Experience in public accounting and familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills and integrity.
  • Proficient in organizational and managerial tasks.
  • A valid Texas Driver's License may be required.
