Established in the early 1900s, this company primarily serves markets such as multifamily housing, mixed-use developments, senior living facilities, office spaces, retail environments, civic projects, community enhancements, tenant improvements, healthcare facilities, and light industrial ventures within the Puget Sound region. The firm possesses extensive expertise in constructing sustainable, environmentally friendly, and LEED-certified structures.
We are in search of a Project Leader with substantial experience in commercial construction project management.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all phases of construction projects from initial planning to final delivery.
- Define project goals, completion timelines, processes, and performance benchmarks.
- Engage our Safety Director and Field Leaders proactively to maintain safety standards on job sites for all personnel and project partners.
- Develop a practical schedule for job cost management, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor coordination.
- Organize a pre-planning meeting with internal project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing Department on all equipment and material procurement.
- Coordinate with the Project Team to ensure that job drawings and change orders are current.
- Oversee the financial elements of the contract, including financial forecasting, manpower planning, job cost monitoring, and monthly billing preparation.
- Achieve or surpass gross profit targets outlined in the project budget.
- Interface with subcontractors, engineers, municipal officials, and clients as necessary.
- Build and sustain relationships with clients to secure additional projects.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, labor, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Bachelor's degree in a construction-related discipline or relevant experience in Project Management.
- Comprehensive understanding of the commercial construction sector, including estimating, scheduling, cost management, code compliance, blueprint interpretation, budget formulation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with or willingness to learn construction management software platforms.
