Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified candidate who has a proven track record in engaging with varied student populations.

SCC is looking for a full-time Admissions Recruiter responsible for promoting the college to external audiences, recruiting potential students, and guiding them through the admissions process.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Engaging with prospective students; visiting local high schools; serving as a bridge between SCC and educational institutions. Achieving recruitment and enrollment targets while managing designated recruitment areas. Organizing and facilitating the annual Mid Rivers College Fair and other campus-related events.
  • Implementing and promoting the BeReady recruitment initiative in high schools. Assisting with student registration during the BeReady Program. Utilizing the A+ Program as a recruitment strategy.
  • Participating in community events and representing the college at external college fairs.
  • Contributing to the planning and execution of on-campus programs. Collaborating with the Marketing and Communications Department to develop promotional materials. Utilizing recruitment CRM software effectively to attract and convert prospective students. Providing follow-up communication to prospective students post-initial contact.
  • Coordinating with Workforce Development staff to recruit participants for corporate tuition reimbursement programs and other non-traditional student markets. Training and working with Student Ambassadors to support campus tours.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher with at least one year of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with three years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a strong emphasis on confidentiality.
  • A professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Availability for evening and weekend hours during peak recruitment periods and special events.
