EIG LatAm serves as the regional hub for the Energy & Infrastructure Group, integrated within the broader Structured Finance platform of Crédit Agricole CIB. Key markets include Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, and Brazil.

Role Responsibilities:

The Vice President of Asset Management will focus exclusively on portfolio oversight and will report directly to the EIG LatAm Portfolio Manager. The key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring assigned portfolio files and managing periodic reporting tasks, including Annual Credit Reviews and Quarterly Substandard Reports (SAR).
  • Assisting the Portfolio Manager with various portfolio management tasks, such as:
  • Overseeing the progress of annual credit reviews, processing amendments and waivers, and ensuring timely execution of deliverables by team members.
  • Conducting quality control on annual credit reviews and other periodic reports generated by the team.
  • Tracking the completion of Annual Credit Reviews and other internal requirements to minimize overdue reviews.
  • Supervising the preparation of materials needed for portfolio reviews and audits, both internal and external.
  • Providing periodic updates to the Paris Head Office regarding Environmental & Social and Climate Change matters, as well as compliance with the Equator Principles.
  • Training junior staff assigned to Annual Credit Reviews and overseeing their contributions.
  • Interacting regularly with various departments within the bank, including Risk, Hedge Desk, Syndication & Distribution, Legal, Rating Advisory, and the Distressed Asset group, as well as colleagues in Latin America and Paris.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of EIG LatAm's data in the systems and addressing any anomalies by collaborating with teams such as Middle Office and Risk.
  • Handling complex files in coordination with the Distressed Assets group.
  • Communicating with deal Administrative Agents, independent consultants, and legal advisors as necessary.
  • Assisting with ad hoc tasks related to country and sector strategies, monitoring country risk, deal tracking, budgeting, and revenue forecasting.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in project finance or similar senior secured asset-based financing.
  • Proficiency in English, with some knowledge of Spanish and ideally French.
  • Proactive attitude and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to manage personal workload and mentor junior staff.
  • Experience in financial and credit analysis, as well as legal documentation.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across various bank departments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and autonomy in planning and resource management.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field.
  • MBA is a plus.

Experience:

  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience, with a preference for candidates with over 5 years.
