Position Summary
The Senior Project Controls Manager is accountable to the Program Controls Director and is tasked with ensuring financial compliance across all projects. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. A deep understanding of cost forecasting and reporting is essential, as this role involves supporting senior financial leadership. The individual will be responsible for maintaining accuracy in all financial matters, regardless of the outcome.
Role and Responsibilities
The Project Controls Manager is primarily responsible for monitoring and forecasting project budgets and expenditures. This role ensures that all projects adhere to contractual obligations and comply with relevant organizational procedures regarding documentation and payment applications. The Manager will facilitate cost forecasting and risk analysis sessions with various stakeholders, including project teams and contractors. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing financial audits and providing necessary documentation to auditors.
- Ensuring project teams adhere to required processes and maintain accurate records.
- Preparing and maintaining reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Managing project budgets, ensuring alignment with approved financial plans.
- Controlling costs by ensuring timely payments and maintaining financial reporting processes.
- Managing change requests and ensuring compliance with established procedures.
- Identifying and mitigating risks associated with project execution.
The candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with Project Management Information Systems. Experience with CAD or REVIT is advantageous.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 20 years of experience, preferably in airport-related projects.
- Experience leading a team of project controls professionals.
- Proven track record managing projects valued over $50 million.
- Familiarity with various project delivery methods.
- Strong management capabilities and excellent communication skills.
- A proactive, results-oriented approach with a focus on detail and organization.
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Architecture, Business, Engineering, or Construction Management is required. A Master's degree is preferred, along with relevant certifications.

The role may require flexibility in working hours and the ability to adapt to various shifts as necessary. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
