Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Orthopedic and Neurosurgery Unit at Duke Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients with acute and chronic conditions, including orthopedic and neurological disorders.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Assess patient needs, identify areas for improvement, and implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence and safety.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited BSN program.
  • Current RN licensure in North Carolina.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to Duke Health's policies and procedures.
