  • Accurately identify and install memory modules in Dell XE Servers
  • Ensure correct memory configuration based on system requirements
  • Verify successful memory installation using diagnostic tools
  • Assist in troubleshooting server-related issues, including memory-related problems
  • Maintain detailed records of memory installations and troubleshooting procedures
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation for reference

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills:
    • 2+ years of experience in supporting server environments, including relocating, testing, and installing data center and networking equipment
    • Experience with rack/stack and configuration of PowerEdge or similar server equipment
    • Ability to follow cabling diagrams and configure iDRAC settings
    • Installation of memory units, DIMMs, PDUs, and components
    • Cabling and labeling
    • Solid understanding of server hardware components, including memory modules
    • Experience with various server brands and models
    • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
  • Problem-Solving:
    • Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve memory-related issues
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to Detail:
    • Meticulous approach to work, ensuring accurate and efficient memory installation
    • Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and be agile in manual dexterity (climb, stoop, etc.) with or without an accommodation
