Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Controls Assurance Professional to join our team at State Street Corporation. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the implementation of our controls assurance program, ensuring that our standards and policies are aligned with regulatory expectations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering outcomes with operational excellence and experience working with company risk and controls assurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the review and enhancement of current standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Conduct end-to-end process reviews to assess effectiveness in supporting standards
  • Review control effectiveness from a process effectiveness perspective
  • Remediate document gaps against optimal process effectiveness
  • Support remediation actions or strategic programs to address gaps
  • Provide regular status updates and project management reports to senior management

Requirements
  • Knowledge of technology risk and cybersecurity frameworks and standards (COBIT, NIST, ITIL, etc.)
  • Experience managing global initiatives, including timelines, status, interdependencies, resource allocation, risk, and issues management
  • Flexibility to operate in a constantly changing environment
  • Ability to operate in an agile manner to address challenges
  • Strong project planning skills and expertise in program management across multiple work-streams
  • Candidate should be knowledgeable in effective business writing methods and techniques and able to clearly articulate impactful messaging
  • Skilled in producing reporting for senior management
  • Candidate should be able to work independently while sharing expertise with colleagues and others
  • Ability to solve complex problems with support from management
  • Manages stakeholder needs and expectations while providing consistent and regular communications with support from management
  • Supports the fulfillment of organizational strategies and objectives
  • Able to effectively balance multiple tasks through careful prioritization
  • Candidate should be able to work collaboratively with others to produce a quality work product
  • Advanced MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.

Education and Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology, IT Security, Risk Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8-10 years proven experience with general risk management, auditing standards, and best practices

Salary Range:
$110,000 - $185,000 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
