Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Environmental Services, the Lead Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for providing direction and leadership to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic quality of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping team, ensuring adherence to departmental goals and standards.
2. Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of the housekeeping program, exploring new cleaning techniques and equipment to enhance service delivery.
3. Maintain compliance with regulatory guidelines and ensure proper disposal of hazardous waste.
4. Conduct routine inspections to assess cleanliness and the overall condition of the facilities.
5. Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports related to housekeeping activities.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with team members to foster a supportive environment that promotes shared goals and effective communication.
Training and Development:
Assist in the training and development of staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Performance Management:
Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members, addressing any areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of six months of experience in a supervisory role within a large organization, such as a healthcare facility or hospitality environment.
2. Completion of supervisory training within the designated timeframe upon appointment.
