Department Overview
The College of Sciences is dedicated to nurturing curiosity and promoting scientific exploration. Our interdisciplinary team of scientists and mathematicians collaborates to achieve excellence in research and education. The Facilities Manager I plays a crucial role in liaising with various departments within the College, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Position Summary
The Facilities Manager I will report directly to the Facilities Director and will be responsible for overseeing the operations of fourteen assigned facilities within the College of Sciences. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of research laboratories, educational environments, and administrative spaces.

Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and coordinate building maintenance activities, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
2. Facilitate office relocations and ensure they are executed as planned.
3. Oversee the delivery and installation of furniture and equipment.
4. Maintain the building access control system, including key management.
5. Organize special events within the facility.
6. Order repair services as necessary.
7. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors.
8. Conduct annual equipment inventory and maintain accurate records.
9. Update and manage the emergency preparedness plan for the facilities.
10. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Educational Requirements: High school diploma, GED, or vocational school diploma.
Experience: Three to five years of relevant experience in facilities management or a related field.
Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in building maintenance processes, and familiarity with office-related computer applications.
