Medical Specimen Collector

This is a contract job opportunity for a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at International Staff Consulting. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for assisting in performing various assigned duties, troubleshooting, training, and making workflow efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
Properly explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection to patients.
Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
Package specimens for transport and store them according to required temperature.
Requirements:
Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
High School Diploma or GED.
