Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze Department of Defense (DoD) documentation and artifacts to translate high-level requirements into actionable items during Agile program increments and sprints.
  • Implement systems engineering methodologies throughout the various phases of the systems lifecycle: conception, development, production, utilization, support, and decommissioning.
  • Collaborate with project teams to address technical considerations and resolve issues or conflicts related to systems engineering.
  • Engage with other Technical Direction Plan (TDL) project personnel, government stakeholders, and senior leadership.
  • Ensure the technical integrity, quality, and thoroughness of deliverables associated with multiple process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288, including Technical, Enterprise, and Agreement Process Areas.
  • Contribute to the creation of systems engineering documentation, such as Systems Engineering Plans, initial capability documents, requirements specifications, and interface control documents.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • For candidates without a degree, four (4) additional years of experience are required.
  • For those holding an Associate's degree instead of a Bachelor's, two (2) additional years of experience are necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a STEM field or a related area.
  • Industry-recognized certifications such as INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP), or OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional–Advanced (OCSMP-A).
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies.

Clearance Requirements:

  • This position necessitates an active TS/SCI clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for more than 50% of the time.
  • Must be capable of communicating and exchanging information with colleagues and senior personnel.
  • Regularly operates a computer and other office productivity equipment.
  • Frequent communication with co-workers, management, and clients, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Occasional movement within the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
