The Financial Strategy and Analysis Manager is tasked with overseeing the financial planning and analytical functions within the organization. This position entails leading budgeting initiatives, financial forecasting, variance analysis, preparing presentations for board meetings, and delivering strategic insights to facilitate informed business decisions. The FP&A Manager works collaboratively with various departments to ensure precise financial reporting and to enhance financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning:
  • Direct the annual budgeting cycle and collaborate with different departments to gather necessary inputs and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Create financial forecasts and models to project future financial outcomes based on historical performance and market trends.
  • Track essential financial metrics and performance indicators to evaluate business success and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Conduct variance analysis to compare actual outcomes against budgets and forecasts, proposing corrective measures as needed.
Analysis and Reporting:
  • Execute in-depth financial analysis to uncover trends, variances, and key drivers of financial performance.
  • Compile and present financial reports to senior leadership, including monthly, quarterly, and annual performance summaries.
Board Presentation Preparation:
  • Assemble comprehensive board presentations for meetings, encompassing financial performance evaluations, strategic initiatives, and critical metrics.
  • Coordinate with executives and other departments to gather essential information, ensuring accuracy and clarity in board communications.
  • Design clear and engaging visual presentations that effectively convey complex financial data to board members.
Strategic Planning:
  • Facilitate strategic decision-making by providing financial insights and recommendations regarding business initiatives and investment opportunities.
  • Assess the financial implications of potential business strategies and conduct scenario analyses.
Process Enhancement:
  • Identify and implement enhancements to financial planning processes and systems to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and tools to support analysis and decision-making.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline. A Master's degree or MBA is advantageous.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, financial management, or a related field. Experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Expertise in financial modeling and forecasting.
    • Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics/NAV/Business Central.
    • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively and influence stakeholders.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.
