Job Summary

Providence Support Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Counselor to join our team. As a Direct Care Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to adults with disabilities in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement individual service plans and behavior support plans for program participants
  • Provide direct support to program participants, including personal care, cooking, and cleaning
  • Assist with medication administration and maintain secure storage of medications
  • Facilitate community activities and inclusion for program participants
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and healthy environment for program participants

Requirements:

  • 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Clear driving record and valid NM driver's license
  • Ability to pass a pre-hire drug/alcohol screen and maintain a clear criminal background
  • Reliable transportation and ability to operate company vehicles

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily in a residential and community setting
  • May be required to work other shifts or facilities
  • Must be able to physically perform all job duties, including lifting and transferring program participants
