Business Development Manager Dallas TX Market

Job Summary
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for growing our market share in the commercial roofing industry by prospecting and generating new commercial business. This role will also involve performing cold calls in the field to generate new permanent sales, supporting existing clients, and conducting product demonstrations in the assigned sales areas of Dallas, TX.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned sales market by creating and fostering relationships in the commercial, industrial, and manufacturing markets to drive sales for Platinum Roofing.
- Responsible for entering contacts and sales activity into programs (Salesforce) for tracking.
- Schedule the approved work with the customer and appropriate Platinum Department (Service or Projects) once a sale is approved.
- Manage new customer accounts and complete repair work from time to time with other roofers who work for Platinum Roofing, as needed.
- Contact the Service Manager and schedule technicians for Emergency after-hours calls.
- Identify additional work items/preventative maintenance items to be either completed while on-site or priced out with photo documentation to the customer for future work potentials.
- Effectively communicate all the above items daily to your local operations manager and sales manager, including timely processing of customer documents to allow for timely processing of invoices.
- Work with local material suppliers to protect the interests of Platinum Roofing with competitive material pricing when needed.
- Work on long-term initiatives related to Platinum Roofing, LLC's growth.
- Attend monthly sales training.
- Actively search for organizations/tradeshows/customer events to attend on behalf of yourself and Platinum Roofing.
- Document all conversations, deals, and incoming emails within Salesforce to allow the entire sales team to remain up-to-date with all business within the department.
Requirements
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, Salesforce, and Outlook.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in the roofing industry.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- All Microsoft applications and software, Excel, Salesforce and Adobe experience is a plus.
