The successful candidate will integrate into the Cloud Security team, a vital segment of our broader Cybersecurity division. This team is composed of security experts dedicated to overseeing the security of cloud resources within the organization. They play a crucial role in facilitating the secure adoption of cloud technologies, focusing on planning, testing, automating, and deploying security measures across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead initiatives related to Visa's cloud strategy, contributing to architectural design and managing the integration process.
- Collaborate with Operations & Infrastructure (O&I) to translate business needs into technical specifications for cloud engineering teams.
- Implement cloud security strategies to support Visa's hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Oversee security architecture for hybrid cloud solutions, ensuring compliance with security standards and regulations.
- Design secure cloud-native infrastructures and core services across various public and private cloud platforms.
- Evaluate the security posture of business applications transitioning to public cloud environments.
- Mentor and guide team members and cross-functional colleagues.
- Investigate and assess emerging technologies to enhance security measures.
- Automate the deployment of dedicated products and services on the cloud landing platform.
- Engage proactively with other cloud teams and business units, supporting cloud platforms during U.S. business hours.
- Act as an advocate for cloud computing best practices.
Work Environment:
This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing employees to alternate between remote work and office attendance, with expectations to be present in the office 2-3 days a week based on departmental needs.
Qualifications:
Basic:
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 5 years with an Advanced Degree, or 2 years with a PhD, or 11+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred:
• 9+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 7+ years with an Advanced Degree, or 3+ years with a PhD.
• Extensive technical knowledge of public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Strong grasp of cloud security principles and experience in implementing Zero Trust Architectures.
• Proven ability to develop scalable cloud security solutions and present technical content to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in automation programming, particularly with Python and IaC tools like Terraform.
• Demonstrated capability to influence stakeholders in cloud transformation initiatives with a focus on security.
• Experience in cloud migration and transformation, including DevSecOps, IaaS, and PaaS principles.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration across the organization and guidance on cloud security architecture.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory frameworks such as NIST, PCI, GDPR, and FFIEC.

Travel Requirements: This role may require travel up to 10% of the time.
