Public Relations Specialist

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Public Relations Officer to manage and enhance our organization's communication strategies. This role is pivotal in fostering relationships with the public and stakeholders, ensuring effective dissemination of information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams for event planning, ensuring seamless execution of logistics and marketing strategies.
  • Manage a diverse range of brand activations, from community events to recognition ceremonies, ensuring each event reflects our organizational values.
  • Develop and implement social media strategies to promote events and engage with the community.
  • Facilitate meetings and assist in planning, including site visits to potential venues.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to enhance collaboration.
  • Plan and execute sponsorship opportunities and events tailored to both internal and external audiences.
  • Oversee the creation of promotional materials and gifts for events.
  • Conduct market research to assess public understanding and acceptance of our programs, utilizing findings to inform strategies.
  • Develop outreach programs to keep various audiences informed about our initiatives through multiple communication channels.
  • Advise management on public relations strategies and implications of departmental activities.
  • Organize tours and orientation sessions for various stakeholders.
  • Supervise staff as needed and perform additional related duties.

Work Environment: The role may require flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends, and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of four years of professional experience in public relations, communications, or a related field, including experience in planning and executing public information programs.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in project management, including budget oversight.
  • Familiarity with promotional product development.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
